A man and a woman were found dead Saturday after Galt police officers were summoned to the house of a woman threatening to kill herself, authorities said Sunday.
Officers responded at 3:15 p.m. to the house on Lyonia Drive after a mother notified police that her daughter had called from the house to say she had killed her boyfriend and intended to kill herself, Galt police Lt. Brian Vizzusi said in a statement Sunday.
Vizzusi said officers contacted a woman inside the house and asked her to come outside. The woman told officers she would comply, but then a gunshot was heard, Vizzusi said.
A SWAT team was summoned and entered the house. Vizzusi said they found two bodies; officers believe was a murder-suicide. The names of the dead were not released Sunday.
