Hello Kitty truck returns to Sacramento area with special merch. What’s for sale?

A popular Hello Kitty pop-up shop is returning to the Sacramento area with more exclusive merchandise.

The Sanrio Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will stop by a Roseville shopping mall on Saturday, May 10.

The all-pink truck will be celebrating two major milestones: its 10th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of Hello Kitty, according to a news release.

Special-edition items for sale range from hoodies and tote bags to desserts, all associated with the popular Japanese cartoon cat.

What is the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck?

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck began operating in 2014, according to the Sanrio website.

Since then the truck has led to other attractions including the first-of-its-kind Hello Kitty Cafe Pop-Up Container in 2016 and the Hello Kitty Mini Cafe set within malls and shopping centers.

In 2025, the truck is set to make stops throughout the United States, with specific stops across the West Coast, East Coast and Midwest.

The pop-up will sell a variety of merchandise, from shirts and tote bags to giant cookies and macarons.

When and where is Hello Kitty pop-up in Sacramento area?

The Hello Kittty Cafe Truck will set up shop at 1240 Galleria Blvd. in Roseville, near Marshalls at the Creekside Town Center shopping center, according to the release. It’s across the street from Westfield Galleria mall.

The pop-up truck is scheduled to operate from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.

The truck will only accept credit cards for purchases, according to the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck site.

What food can I buy at Hello Kitty pop-up in Roseville?

Here’s which treats are on the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck menu and how much they cost, according to the Sanrio website:

  • Giant chef cookies: $16

  • 5-piece macaron sets: $18

  • Madeleine cookie sets: $16

  • 3-piece cookie set: $18

What exclusive merchandise will be on sale?

In celebration of Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary, the truck will be selling limited-edition merchandise, including 50th anniversary-exclusive iridescent totes and hoodies.

All items are subject to availability and while supplies last, according to the site.

  • 50th Anniversary tote bag: $40

  • 50th Anniversary shirt: $30

  • 50th Anniversary hoodie: $70

  • 10th Anniversary pin: $15

  • 10th Anniversary cup keychain: $15

  • Ceramic mug: $22

  • Cold cup ornament: $15

  • 18-ounce thermal bottle: $35

  • 32-ounce thermal bottle: $42

What other limited-edition items can I buy?

Other merchandise sold via the Hello Kitty Cafe website includes a 50th Anniversary tote bag and a 10th Anniversary throw blanket.

Online merchandise is limited and does not reflect the full options available at the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck.

How long can fans expect to wait in line?

It depends.

When the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck stopped at Arden Fair mall in January, some fans reported waiting in line for two or three hours, according to Bee archives.

Another person waited in line for approximately an hour and 20 minutes.

In general, it’s a good idea to arrive early, wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a long wait.
