Three people were taken to a hospital Tuesday morning after a collision between a light rail train and vehicle on Sixth and H streets downtown, not far from the Sacramento Valley Rail Station, Sacramento Regional Transit said.

RT said the train operator, one light rail passenger and the driver of the involved vehicle were transported to a hospital, but did not have any details on their conditions.

The collision happened at about 10:30 a.m. and caused the train to be pushed off the tracks, RT said.

A bus bridge was in place from the Sacramento Valley and 13th Street stations, but was removed at roughly 11:45 a.m.

RT police are currently investigating the collision.
