Fourth of July in Sacramento: Where to go for rides, music and fireworks

The Sacramento region is ready to celebrate Independence Day with a full lineup of events, from baseball games and carnival rides to dazzling fireworks shows.

We did the research — here’s where you can catch fireworks on and around July 4:

Post Game Fireworks

When: Friday, July 4 at 7 p.m.

Where: Sutter Health Park, 400 Ballpark Drive in West Sacramento

Price: Tickets range in price from $177 a person to $293

Cheer on the Athletics as they face the San Francisco Giants, then stick around for the “Patriotic Postgame Fireworks” presented by Chevrolet.

Concessions and team merchandise will be available for purchase. Alcohol is available for guests 21 and over at designated bars.

Rancho Cordova Fourth of July Celebration

When: Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4

Where: Hagan Community Park, 2197 Chase Drive in Rancho Cordova

Price: Tickets range from $5 to $85.54

Rancho Cordova is hosting a two day Fourth of July spectacular featuring more than 20 food trucks, carnival rides and live music. Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m. both nights.

  • Online general admission: $5

  • At-the-gate admission: $10

  • Unlimited carnival ride wristbands: $30 in advance at KP International Market (through July 2), $40 on site

  • Parking: $10 (cash only)

  • VIP tickets: $88.54 (valid July 3 only), include covered seating, upgraded restrooms, and two drink tickets. Each VIP ticket includes entry for two children under 12. Anyone 12 or older requires their own ticket.

Beer is available for guests 21 and over.

Red, White, & Brew

When: Friday, July 4 and Saturday, July 5.

Where: Drake’s: The Barn 985 Riverfront St. in West Sacramento

Price: Tickets range from $28.52 to $535.38

Celebrate the Fourth at one of Sacramento’s favorite traditions. Drake’s: The Barn is hosting a lawn party includes beer, food, live music, a silent disco, and a watch party for the A’s vs. Giants game and fireworks.

  • General admission (ages 12+): $28.52; entry at 8 p.m.

  • Children 11 and under: Free

  • 21+ Advanced Entry: $65.87; includes a 19.2 oz can of alcohol; entry at 7 p.m.

  • VIP: $87.21; includes early entry at 6 p.m., a 19.2 oz alcoholic drink, and a cocktail ticket

  • VIP table for 8: $535.38 (plus a $300 minimum spend, excluding tax and gratuity)

Fourth of July

When: Friday, July 4 at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Andrews Park 614 East Monte Vista Ave. in Vacaville

Price: Free

Just outside Sacramento, Vacaville’s community celebration includes a concert, food trucks, and fireworks. Local band Glory Dayz will perform classic rock, pop, and doo-wop starting at 6:30 p.m., with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Bring blankets or lawn chairs for a comfortable view.
