Here’s what to know before you book your flight:

What are cheap nonstop flights from Sacramento?

For less than $200, you can book a direct round-trip flight to a handful of destinations in July, August and September, The Sacramento Bee found.

How much does it cost to fly from Sacramento to Mexico?

Sacramento International Airport also offers pricier summer flights for travelers, according to Google Flights.

What are baggage fees for American Airlines? Southwest?

Need to check in a bag? Baggage fees vary by airlines.

As of Monday, July 7, Southwest Airlines charged $35 to check a bag weighing up to 50 pounds, with additional fees for oversized luggage, according to the airline’s website. Checking an additional bag cost $45.

American Airlines had a baggage fee of $35 to $40 for flights between the United States, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands, depending on whether travelers pay in advance or at the gate. The price for a second checked bag was $45.

For those flying on American Airlines between Canada, Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and Guyana, the baggage fee was $35, or $45 for a second checked bag.

Alaska Airlines charged $35 for the first checked bag and $45 for the second checked bag.

United Airlines also charged $35 for the first checked bag. Premier Status members can carry on bags for free.

How much does parking cost at Sacramento airport?

Sacramento International Airport offers three options for parking your car on-site for a half-hour or longer, The Sacramento Bee previously reported.

There are more than 8,000 parking spots in the Sacramento airport and all available lots can be used for short-term and long-term parking, according to the airport.

A parking garage and daily lot just off Airport Boulevard offer parking spaces that are within walking distance of Terminal A.

There are more than 5,200 spots in the main parking garage and 3,000 spots in the daily lot, according to Sacramento County Department of Airports spokesperson Scott Johnston.

There is a larger economy lot just east of Aviation Drive, with roughly 6,000 spots available.

The airport also has an economy lot west of Terminal B with 3,300 parking spaces. It’s used as an overflow lot when the main parking lots are full.

All parking lots have a base short-term price of $2 per half-hour, the airport said, while overnight airport parking ranges from $11 to $20 per day depending on the location.

Sacramento International Airport provides a variety of dining experiences for travelers — ranging from grab-and-go snacks to sit-down diners to quick grab ice creams.

Here are some of the food options at the Sacramento airport, and how much menu items cost at each one:

  • Dippin’ Dots:$6.99 to $10.99

  • Iron Horse Tavern: $5.95 to $33.75

  • Squeeze Burger: $2.50 to $14.50

  • Burgers and Brew: $4.25 to $18.75

Can I take public transportation to the airport?

Don’t want to drive or catch an Uber ride? There are two options for public transportation to get to Sacramento International Airport.

Sacramento Regional Transit District’s Route runs an express bus service from downtown Sacramento to the airport, and back.

The Airport Express Bus Service runs every 20 to 30 minutes for seven days a week.

Tickets cost $2.50 for a single ride or $7 for a daily pass, with free rides for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Yolobus provides hourly bus service to the Sacramento airport from downtown Sacramento, West Sacramento, David and Woodland via routes 42A and 42B.

Yolobus tickets cost about $2 for local fare and $2.25 for intercity fare, according to the Yolobus website.
