Contra Costa woman located by authorities after going missing in Sacramento

Missing person found

The California Highway Patrol says an elderly Contra Costa woman who went missing, prompting a Silver Alert in three counties, has been located.

The woman was last seen driving a gold-colored 2004 Hyundai Sonata with an Ohio license plate in Sacramento’s Rosemont community. Her disappearance prompted the advisory on Monday, according to the CHP on behalf of the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office.

The alert was also issued in El Dorado and Alpine counties.

Authorities did not share where the woman was found or her condition when found.

A Silver Alert is activated when a person who is 65 years of age or older or is developmentally or cognitively impaired person has gone missing and is determined to be at-risk.
