Moderate heat risk expected for Sacramento. Here’s your day-to-day forecast
Summer moves into full stride for Sacramento this week, with high temperatures consistently in the 90s over the next seven days.
That will create a moderate heat risk, the National Weather Service reports, with the potential for heat-related illness among vulnerable people including the elderly, children and those working outdoors.
Here’s the day-to-day forecast:
On Monday, residents should expect clear skies and sunny weather with temperatures peaking at 99 degrees and south-southwest winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will dip to 61 degrees with a few clouds in the evening.
On Tuesday, temperatures are predicted to drop slightly to 95 or 96 degrees, with partly cloudy skies and similar winds to Monday, per the National Weather Service. At night the temperature will fall to 60 degrees with a few clouds.
Temperatures will continue to fall on Wednesday with highs of 91 degrees in the day and a drop at night to 59 degrees.
Thursday’s temperatures will be similar, with highs of 92 degrees and partly cloudy skies and a drop in winds to between 5 to 10 mph. At night, the sky will see few clouds and temperatures will drop to 60 degrees.
On Friday, temperatures will head back up to 94 degrees with no clouds. Evening lows are expected to be about 63 degrees with south winds at 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday will see highs of 93 degrees and winds between 5 and 10 mph, as reported by The Weather Channel. At night, temperatures will decrease to 62 degrees.
By Sunday, the daily high will decrease to 90 degrees with similar winds and evening temperatures around 60 degrees.
