Popular discount retailer Five Below is opening a new store in the Sacramento region.
The self-described “extreme value” chain will soon celebrate the grand opening of its Placerville location.
“Five Below ... welcomes customers to experience all the fun, amazing value and trendy products” at its new store, the company said in a Tuesday, Aug. 19, news release. “Find all the newness and fun for way less than the others!”

What is Five Below?
Founded in 2022, Five Below describes itself as a “high-growth value retailer offering trend-right, high-quality products loved by tweens, teens and beyond.”
The Philadelphia-based discount retailer sells everything from clothing and accessories to beauty products, home decor and pet supplies, with most items priced between $1 and $5.
There’s also a Five Beyond category with pricier electronics, toys, games and more.
The new Five Below store in Placerville will include a Party Shop featuring “a large variety of helium balloons, décor and favors,” the release said.
Five Below operates more than 1,800 stores in 44 states, including about 150 locations in California, according to ScrapeHero.
Where is new Sacramento-area location?
Five Below’s newest Sacramento-area location is at 3902 Missouri Flat Road in Placerville, according to the company’s website.
It’s part of the new Crossings at El Dorado shopping center off Highway 50, which includes Dutch Bros. Coffee and America’s Tire locations.
When is grand opening for Placerville store?
Five Below will officially open its doors in Placerville on Friday, Aug. 22.
“To celebrate the grand opening, the store will host a festive weekend filled with fun, music, kids’ activities and special prizes,” the retailer said in the release.
The first 100 customers in line on Saturday, Aug. 23, will get $10 gift cards, Five Below said.
What are Five Below open hours?
Once it opens, Five Below in Placerville will be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, according to the release.
