  • A’s 2026 schedule includes six games in Las Vegas area ahead of 2028 relocation.
  • All potential 2026 postseason games will take place in West Sacramento.
  • New themed nights aim to boost Sacramento engagement and local attendance.

The Athletics and Major League Baseball on Tuesday announced their schedule for 2026, in which the A’s will continue to host most home games in West Sacramento but will play six games in Southern Nevada ahead of their planned move to Las Vegas in 2028.

Additionally, the A’s said they will host “all potential home postseason games in West Sacramento” after not guaranteeing postseason games to season ticket-holders prior to this season for logistical reasons. It’s likely to be a moot point this season, given the A’s have been in last place in the American League West since late May and have a minuscule chance at reaching the 2025 playoffs.

The games in Southern Nevada will be played in Summerlin, Nevada, at Las Vegas Ballpark against the Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies from June 8-14 with the A’s as the designated home team. The ballpark is currently the home field for the Las Vegas Aviators, the A’s Triple-A affiliate, which plays in the Pacific Coast League.

A source told The Sacramento Bee the stint in Las Vegas will be intended to give the field at Sutter Health Park a necessary break, similar to what happened in June when River Cats games were rescheduled for similar reasons. The A’s will continue to share Sutter Health Park with the River Cats, meaning roughly 150 games will be played on the field from late March through September.

Other notable matchups at Sutter Health Park include hosting the San Francisco Giants from May 15-17, the New York Yankees from May 29-31, the Los Angeles Dodgers from June 29 to July 1 and Boston Red Sox from July 27-30. The Dodgers are among National League teams that did not visit West Sacramento in 2025.

The A’s will host the Mariners on Memorial Day, May 25; the Los Angeles Angels on Father’s Day, June 21; the Miami Marlins on Fourth of July; and the Toronto Blue Jays on Labor Day, Sept. 7, 2026.

After receiving criticism for not doing more to connect with Sacramento in its first season after moving from Oakland — including the decision not to include “Sacramento” in the team’s official moniker — the team in its schedule announcement said it will have six “super-sized” fireworks shows and weekly theme nights.

“Sacramento Saturday” will celebrate Sacramento with giveaways, local food options and community pride activations.

“Home Run Happy Hour” will happen on Fridays that will include live music, drink specials and giveaways.

“Stomping Sundays Family Day” will have kid-friendly activities and giveaways.

The A’s will have “Community Spotlight Wednesday” where the team will honor “local community heroes, local leaders and nonprofits making a difference.”

“Neighborhood Night Tuesdays” will have Sacramento neighborhood themed activities and special group experiences.
