Two California landmarks are among the top natural wonders in the North America, according to a new study.
Betway Online Slots recently ranked the most popular natural wonders in North America, analyzing the top spots in Canada and the United States based on social media buzz.
“Northern America is blessed with a wide range of diverse landscapes, from stunning glacial lakes to breathtaking mountain ranges,” the sports betting blog said in an Aug. 5 article. “These natural marvels are on many people’s travel bucket lists ....”

What makes Lake Tahoe a popular destination?
According to Betway Insider, Lake Tahoe ranks among the destinations that “capture the essence of America’s wild heart.”
“What makes a natural wonder truly breathtaking isn’t just its size or fame, it’s the sense of awe it inspires,” the website said.
Lake Tahoe is the second-most popular natural wonder in the United States, Betway Insider said, thanks to its serenity and stunning views.
The freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada attracts about 15 million visitors annually, according to the North Lake Tahoe Official Visitors Bureau.
“Straddling California and Nevada, its crystal-clear waters have made it a social media sensation,” Betway Insider said of Lake Tahoe. “Whether blanketed in snow or basking in summer sun, it offers year-round outdoor activities that attract nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.”
According to Betway Insider, Lake Tahoe had more than 3.1 million Instagram hashtags and about 57,000 TikTok videos.
A prime hiking and skiing destination, Lake Tahoe has an average Google rating of 4.8 stars out of 5, attracting than 8 million annual Google searches, the website said.

Death Valley landed at No. 9 on Betway Insider’s list of the top U.S. attractions for nature lovers.
The sun-drenched valley in the northern Mojave Desert stands out due to its geodiversity and breathtaking mountains, the website said.
About 1.1 million people visit Death Valley National Park each year to marvel at its “towering peaks” and diverse wildlife, according to the National Park Service.
It’s the hottest, driest and lowest-elevation national park in the United States, the National Park Service said.
According to Betway Insider, Death Valley has an average rating of 4.7 stars on Google with more than 4.4 million annual Google searches.
The valley has garnered more than 1.1 million Instagram hashtags and 37,000 TikTok videos.
