Motorcyclist killed in Rancho Cordova crash, sheriff’s officials say

A motorcyclist died following a crash with another vehicle Friday evening in Rancho Cordova, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said.

The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. at Trade Center and Sun Center drives. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital and was later pronounced dead, Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Sgt. Amar Gandhi said. The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released.

There is no DUI or criminal activity suspected, Gandhi said. The other involved driver cooperated with investigators at the scene.

The fatal crash happened near a business park that includes the California Department of Rehabilitation and California Regional Water Quality Control Board.
