A developer is building a 136-unit affordable apartment complex for seniors in Folsom.

Newport Beach-based Vintage Housing is currently building the complex, located at 103 E. Natoma St., near the corner of Natoma Street and Fargo Way and just east of Folsom City Hall, said Maureen Picarella, senior vice president of Vintage Housing.

The project, called Vintage at Folsom, is set to be completed in late fall 2026, Picarella said.

To qualify to live the apartments, tenants will need to be seniors 55 and older, with incomes under 60% of the area median income, Picarella said. At the current levels for the Sacramento area, that means a person who lives alone can qualify to live there if they earn less than about $54,000 annually.

Renderings of the project shared by Vintage Housing appear to show the buildings will be three stories.

“The property is conveniently located walking distance to the Senior Center and city complex, as well as the library, parks and Historic Folsom,” Picarella said in an email.
