A reporter at Sacramento television station KCRA-TV has moved to her new post as a morning anchor at a rival station.

Carolina Estrada took over the 5 to 9 a.m. anchor slot on KXTV-TV in Sacramento on Monday, Dec. 1.

Estrada announced the move to the ABC affiliate Nov. 21 via her Facebook page.

“So excited to be here with you guys this morning and from now on,” Estrada said in a Nov. 21 segment on KXTV introducing her to viewers.

Estrada, who grew up in Riverside, said she has been in Sacramento for seven years and began her television career in the City of Trees.

“I love Sacramento,” Estrada said. “It’s underrated. I love the weather. I love the coffee shops, the food, everything.”

She worked for Univision as a reporter, anchor and producer before joining KCRA as a bilingual reporter in 2023, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Estrada told KXTV that she enjoys spending time with her dog, Titan, and visiting farmers markets.
