• CVS: Store is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday. The pharmacy is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. On Thursday, the store is open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and the pharmacy is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Several government offices, including post offices and public libraries, and most banks are closed for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the Sacramento area.

Commercial package delivery companies UPS and FedEx will also observe the holiday by closing on Thursday, but will have normal delivery service for Wednesday, Dec. 24.
