CVS: Store open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; pharmacy open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
Safeway: Store open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday; 5 am to 2 a.m. on Friday; pharmacy open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m on Wednesday and closed Thursday.

What’s closed in Sacramento on New Year Eve?
Several government offices, including post offices and public libraries, and most banks are closed for New Year Day in the Sacramento area. Libraries will continue to operate on Wednesday, Dec. 31 but will close at 5 p.m.
Commercial package delivery companies UPS and FedEx will also observe the holiday by closing on Thursday but will have normal delivery service for Wednesday, Dec. 31.
