CHP, Roseville police issue Silver Alert for man missing since Christmas Eve

Authorities issued a Silver Alert on Sunday for a missing 65-year-old man last seen in Roseville on Christmas Eve.

Charles Young was last seen around 7 p.m. on Dec. 24 near Firestone Drive and Pebble Beach Court, according to Roseville police. The California Highway Patrol activated the alert on behalf of the department in Placer, Sacramento and El Dorado counties.

Young is described as 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a T-shirt, a green hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants and sandals, according to authorities.

Officials believe he may be driving a tan 2000 Chevrolet Silverado with California license plate 6B50875.

Anyone who sees Young or the vehicle is urged to call 911.

A Silver Alert is issued when a person age 65 or older, or someone who is developmentally or cognitively impaired, goes missing and is considered at risk. The CHP activates the alert after a local law enforcement agency determines the individual meets the criteria and it has exhausted all available resources.
