Where were four people found dead in Rancho Cordova? What to know

Four people were found dead Tuesday inside a home in a neighborhood in the extreme southern end of Rancho Cordova, Sacramento County sheriff’s officials said.

The incident took place in the 5400 block of Mill Water Circle, just off Sunset Copper Way, officials said.

Inside the home, deputies found four people who had died, the Sheriff’s Office said. The victims’ identities and their relationship to one another were not immediately known.

The area is part of the Kavala Ranch neighborhood off Kiefer Boulevard and Rancho Cordova Parkway north of Jackson Road near Sloughhouse.

The neighborhood broke ground in 2007, SacPlatinum Realty said. The neighborhood contains nearly 600 homes and has an average value of $645,399, a Homes.com profile said.

The city of Rancho Cordova is policed under contract by the county sheriff’s office.
