A public rally at Downtown Commons will greet NFL legend Tom Brady when he visits his new sports card and memorabilia venture, CardVault by Tom Brady, Thursday in downtown Sacramento.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion and Bay Area native, now a game analyst for the NFL on Fox, will be in the capital city to celebrate the opening of his retail chain’s Sacramento location in DoCo.

CardVault by Tom Brady is a sports card and memorabilia retailer that focuses on buying, selling, trading and grading collectibles, according to the company. The business also operates CardVault Breaks, a live-streaming platform where collectors participate in real-time card openings and community events. The company, which he started in 2020, has expanded rapidly in recent years, branding itself as a high-end destination for sports collectibles and fan experiences.

The Sacramento Kings and Downtown Commons are hosting the rally at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at DoCo Plaza in front of Golden 1 Center’s grand entrance, 500 David J. Stern Walk. The free event, open to the public, will feature fan experiences and Sacramento Kings mascot Slamson, and a chance to check out the new location, 405 K St., Suite 140.

Brady is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, winning six Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots over 20 seasons before leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a championship following the 2020 season. He retired after the 2022 season and later joined Fox as a game analyst alongside Kevin Burkhardt.

The store in DoCo’s West Plaza location is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
