Highway 16 reopens at Yolo-Colusa line following early morning rockslide
Highway 16 has reopened in far western Yolo County after a rockslide early Wednesday shut down the route in both directions near the Colusa county line.
The closure was reported at 5:37 a.m. about a half-mile east of the county line, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Woodland office.
The roadway reopened to traffic at 6:30 a.m., according to Caltrans officials.
The 43-mile western segment of Highway 16 is a key rural route connecting Yolo and Colusa counties and serves as a corridor between Interstate 5 and Highway 20.
