Shriners hospital for children branches out with first off-site clinic set for Folsom
Shriners Children’s Northern California is opening a new clinic in Folsom next month, the first off-site facility for the Sacramento medical provider focused on children.
The clinic, located at 1625 Creekside Drive, will open March 19, according to a news release from Shriners. The building is located directly across the street from Dignity Health’s Mercy Hospital of Folsom.
“We are pleased now to expand into the Folsom community where we can see patients from Folsom, Fair Oaks, El Dorado Hills, Placerville and beyond,” Kenny Pawlek, Hospital Administrator at Shriners Children’s Northern California, said. “We are proud to care for these patients today and are excited to offer our services to them at a location closer to where they live and play.”
The clinic is located in an office suite shared with another physician group.
The clinic will be open initially two days a week — Mondays and Thursdays — and provide orthopedics and sports medicine for new and existing patients, officials said.
Shriners Hospital, located on Stockton Boulevard near UC Davis Medical Center, has specializes in orthopedics, spinal cord injury treatment and rehabilitation and acute burn treatment and rehabilitation in the capital region for nearly 30 years.
The hospital also operates the Neil Reitman Pediatric Burn Institute, which treats children with all forms of burn injuries.
The clinic in Folsom will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26.
