Gambler hits six-figure jackpot on $2 slot machine at Sacramento-area casino

A lucky Cache Creek Casino Resort gambler near Sacramento hit a huge slot machine jackpot on a $30 bet, officials said.

The Martinez, California, woman was playing a $2 “Dragon Link” machine at the casino and hit the $218,835 jackpot last week, the casino said Friday on Facebook.

“This was a spectacular and well-deserved win,” said Kari Stout-Smith, general manager and COO of Cache Creek Casino Resort, in a news release. “We are thrilled to congratulate Linda on her incredible $218,835.43 jackpot. Moments like these capture the excitement, luxury, and elevated experience we are proud to deliver every day.”

Other slot machine jackpots at the casino in the past week include a $75,000 win and a $62,500 win, the casino said.

Cache Creek Casino Resort, owned by the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, is about a 45-mile drive northwest from Sacramento, near Esparto. The casino, opened in 2004, features more than 2,700 slot machines and 120 table games.
