Placer supervisor outraising Lincoln challenger 2-1, early campaign filings show
Placer County’s 2nd DIstrict supervisor has raised twice as much money as her challenger, a longtime Lincoln City Council member, early campaign filings for June’s primary election show.
Holly Andreatta, who has served on the Lincoln City Council since 2018, is running against Shanti Landon, who has represented the Lincoln area on the Placer County Board of Supervisors since 2022.
As of Dec. 31, Landon had raised $122,085 and reported $127,198 cash on hand, according to the latest campaign finance documents filed with the county. Andreatta had raised about $63,906 and reported $38,082 cash on hand.
Landon received donations from police unions and business groups, while Andreatta received donations from churches and farms. Both candidates received donations from Sacramento Area Firefighters Local 522, though Landon received a higher amount and the union’s endorsement.
There is no party affiliated with the Board of Supervisors, but both campaigns donated money to Republican candidates and groups. Andreatta’s campaign donated to the re-election campaign of Assemblymember Joe Patterson, R-Rocklin, as well as Dom Belza, a Republican running for state Assembly. Landon’s campaign donated to the Placer County Republican Party and the campaign of state Sen. Roger Niello, R-Fair Oaks.
Andreatta, a former public schoolteacher, is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and serves as associate pastor at Lincoln Christian Life Center, according to a city webpage.
Before Landon was elected, she worked as the district director to former Placer County Supervisor Robert Weygandt for about five years, according to a county webpage.
The primary election will be held June 2, and the general election will be held Nov. 3. The District 1 seat, held by Bonnie Gore, is also up for re-election, but there is no major challenger.
