Sacramento’s Regional Transit agency is offering free bus and light rail rides Wednesday in honor of Earth Day, officials said.
“Transportation is one of the largest contributors to air pollution, with single occupancy vehicles creating a significant share of emissions,” the agency said in a Monday news release. “By opting for public transit, even for a single trip, riders can make a meaningful impact on air quality and help build a healthier region.”.
