Motorcyclist dies after late-night crash in Sacramento, police say

A motorcyclist died Friday night after a solo collision in Sacramento.

The Sacramento Police Department responded to the incident shortly after 11 p.m. near the intersection of 65th Street Expressway and 21st Avenue, according to police spokesperson Officer Anthony Gamble.

Sacramento police’s major collision investigation and crime scene investigators units took over the investigation.

As of 1 p.m. Saturday, the driver’s identity had not been released by Sacramento County coroner’s officials.

The intersection is near the border of Sacramento’s Tahoe Park South, Colonial Manor, Tallac Village and Colonial Village neighborhoods.
