Sacramento County animal shelter seeks help after cat killed in Florin area

Bradshaw Animal Shelter is asking for the public’s help identifying a person of interest in the killing of a cat earlier this month in south Sacramento.

The shelter said a cat was beaten to death April 21 in the 8500 block of Sun Florin Drive, near Florin and French roads in the Florin area.

Surveillance images, shared by the county animal services department, captured a person at the time of the incident, and officials said they were working to identify and prosecute the individual.

“Someone knows who this is,” animal officials said in a social media post, urging the public for help.

Anyone with information was asked to call 311 if they live in unincorporated Sacramento County, or 916-875-4311 for city residents.
