Driver killed in Roseville crash on Baseline Road identified by Placer coroner
The man killed Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash in west Roseville has been identified.
Placer County’s coroner identified the victim as George Habeeb, a 47-year-old Roseville resident.
Another person was hospitalized after Habeeb’s BMW collided with a van around 9 p.m. at Baseline Road and Canyon Creek Drive, authorities said.
Radio dispatches reviewed by The Sacramento Bee indicated the BMW was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash. The Roseville Police Department was expected to release more information Monday.
The intersection was closed for several hours Sunday night but has since reopened.
