Marysville’s Ranch Market closed after health inspection reveals vermin infestation
A Yuba County grocery store was ordered closed Monday after a health inspection found a vermin infestation that could not be immediately corrected, according to county officials.
The store, Ranch Market, is located at 1016 Covillaud St. in Marysville and remained closed on Wednesday.
“Yuba County Environmental Health remains committed to working collaboratively with local businesses to protect public health and safety throughout the community,” said Rachel Abbott, a spokesperson for the county.
According to Abbott, Yuba County Environmental Health conducted the inspection after receiving a complaint about Ranch Market and found a vermin infestation that could not be immediately corrected on-site.
The store was closed, and officials posted a sign on the door notifying customers of the closure and warning of a health hazard.
Ranch Market is working with the Environmental Health Department to bring the store into compliance with health regulations. The business must then be re-inspected before it can reopen.
