Pedestrian dies after crash at Arden Arcade church parking lot, coroner says

A crash at a church parking lot in Arden Arcade ended with a pedestrian fatality, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

The incident occurred Friday at a parking lot of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1615 Morse Ave., according to the Coroner’s Office motor vehicle deaths dashboard.

As of early Saturday afternoon, the victim’s age and identity had not been released. The victim was a male, the dashboard stated.

Elizabeth Shults, executive director of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, confirmed the incident took place in the church’s parking lot. She said the incident was not related to the church’s programming.

A spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol’s North Sacramento office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
