Modesto Bee: Police identify fatal victim from Modesto shooting of eight

Eight people were shot and one of them is dead after gunfire erupted at an X-Fest after-party at a warehouse in west Modesto Sunday morning, police said.

It appears shots were fired from more than one gun at the warehouse in the 1100 block of Kansas Avenue around 3 a.m. so detectives are trying to determine whether any of the people shot are also suspects, said Modesto Police spokeswoman Heather Graves.

Zachary McGee, 25, of Modesto was found shot at the scene. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
