Sacramento County will hold a voter outreach and registration drive from 10 a.m. to 1:30 pm. at Cesar Chavez Plaza, 910 I St. The event, held during the farmers market, is designed to educate voters and increase registration among eligible adults who are not registered to vote.
Natomas school board meets
Natomas Unified’s school board will meet at 5:45 p.m. at the Education Center at 1901 Arena Blvd. in Sacramento. The board will hear a review on the start of the school year and will discuss the district’s vision. Trustees will consider three contracts for $10,000, each with Hancock, Park and DeLong Inc. School Advisory Services. The firm will help the district ensure that three classroom projects are eligible for state funding.
Elk Grove considers bus deal
The Elk Grove City Council will meet at 6 p.m. at 8400 Laguna Palms Way. The board will consider a number of resolutions, including one to authorize the purchase of 40 compressed natural gas transit buses in an amount not to exceed $4.6 million and another to purchase $250,000 of ammunition for the Police Department.
