Inspire kids to get hooked on books this weekend during the 15th annual ScholarShare Children’s Book Festival at Fairytale Town.

Several local authors and illustrators will be on hand to read their work and bring their books alive for youngsters.

“There might be a few more shenanigans involved than your typical book reading,” said author Andy Domek, who will present his “Our Garden” book with illustrator Stephen Green at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Readings will be presented from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free, but adults need to be accompanied by a child to attend.

Fairytale Town is located at 3901 Land Park Drive, Sacramento. For a full list of authors and times for their readings, click on www.fairytaletown.org. Or call 916-808-7462.
