A restaurant in Arden Arcade operated by Food Network’s Guy Fieri has closed after about a decade under two different names.

“After nearly a decade on Arden Way in Sacramento, with our lease coming to an end, we have elected to close this location of Johnny Garlic’s,” said a statement from a Johnny Garlic’s representative.

Last year, Fieri replaced his Tex Wasabi’s restaurant at 2243 Arden Way with the Johnny Garlic’s brand. Six Johnny Garlic’s restaurants remain open, including the Roseville restaurant at 10505 Fairway Drive.

Fieri, with his spiky bleached hair and high-energy style, opened his original Johnny Garlic’s in Santa Rosa. A best seller on the menu has been Cajun chicken fettucine.

Fieri learned to make bananas Foster while working as the flambe chef at the Red Lion in Sacramento. He honed his culinary skill at American River College.

He hosts “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” on Food Network.
