Man killed in logging accident identified as Lincoln resident
A man who died in a logging accident Wednesday in the Eldorado National Forest has been identified by El Dorado County sheriff’s officials as 55-year-old Jeffrey Jones of Lincoln.
Jones was working at a logging operation off Wentworth Springs Road when a log fell from his trailer and struck him on the head, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
Sheriff’s deputies responded about 10 a.m. to a call reporting an industrial accident.
