Memorial service set for South Lake Tahoe police officer, wife
A memorial service for a South Lake Tahoe police officer and his wife who died last weekend in a vehicle crash will be held Saturday.
The service for Mark and Jeanne Hounsell is scheduled for 11 a.m. at LifePoint Church, 1095 Stephanie Way, in Minden, Nev., according to the South Lake Tahoe Police Department.
The couple, along with a family friend, Laura Fisher, 33, of Washington, Ill., died Saturday in a single-vehicle rollover crash near Fallon, Nev.
The Hounsells’ four children, ages 4 to 14 years old, were injured in the crash but were all expected to recover.
The Hounsells lived in Minden, and Jeanne Hounsell, 34, was a Carson Valley photographer.
Mark Hounsell, 42, had worked for the South Lake Tahoe Police Department since 2007. He previously was a sheriff’s deputy for Douglas County, Nev.
