A warm and dry Thanksgiving is forecast for Northern California.

The National Weather Service is forecasting dry streets for travel to grandmother’s house on Thanksgiving as a high pressure system moves into the north state.

The only travel worry could be fog. Patchy fog started to form around 1:30 a.m. Monday from Marysville all the way to Modesto. Still, the National Weather Service did not issue a dense fog advisory because the gray stuff was very spotty and not widespread.

The NWS said that with lingering moisture from the wet weather pattern of last week, forecasters expect patchy fog to develop for the next few mornings between midnight and sunrise.

The high temperature Monday in Sacramento is predicted to be 64 degrees after a chilly start. Thanksgiving looks even warmer: 67 degrees.

The detailed, 7-day forecast from the NWS for the Sacramento region:

Monday: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 64. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Tonight: Patchy fog after 10pm. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 42. Light and variable wind.
