Flights will increase from Mather Airport in December to handle Christmas packages delivered by United Parcel Service.
Cargo operations are expected to ramp up, peaking the week of Dec. 15 to Dec. 21. The airport is the regional cargo hub for UPS.
In addition to holiday goods, UPS carries other retail stock, equipment and pharmaceuticals, according to a Sacramento County Airports news release.
