That added up to less than half of what normally falls in Sacramento during those three months. Then came this week when 2.46 inches fell in two days.
The city’s rainfall total is now at 109 percent of normal. Today’s rain should be showery and the weekend looks iffy, but down the proverbial pike is a big rainstorm.
Here’s what the NWS says about it:
“Relatively dry weather is expected Tuesday and Wednesday in between weather systems. Medium-range models remain in fairly good agreement with the next low pressure system, due to arrive next Thursday and Friday. This storm system late next week has the potential to be the strongest system we`ve seen this winter thus far, with snow levels potentially dropping below 5000 feet, gusty winds across the forecast area, and periods of moderate to heavy precipitation possible.”
