Update: Even more extreme gusts predicted in Sacramento region

The National Weather Service has increased the speed with which winds are predicted to gust during the upcoming storm.

Between Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon, meteorologists with the NWS increased the projected strength of gusts expected to occur sometime between late Wednesday and Friday.

Instead of gusts reaching 61 mph in Sacramento, the weather service forecasters think that gusts could top out at 67 mph. And in Redding, the weather service said the peak winds could reach a howling 70 mph.

Sacramento: 67 mph

Woodland: 60

Yuba City: 64

Auburn: 55

Placerville: 52

Roseville: 66

Grass Valley: 52

Blue Canyon: 64

Donner Pass: 60

South Lake Tahoe: 67

Kyburz: 51

San Francisco: 36

Fairfield: 61

Red Bluff: 70
