Sacramento restaurants, coffee shops serve up free fare to veterans Wednesday

Men and women who have served in the military can partake of free meals or a cup of joe on Veterans Day.

Restaurants in the Sacramento area are offering everything from pancakes to pizzas on Wednesday. Here’s a list:

Applebee’s: A free entrée from a limited menu.

Olive Garden: A free meal from a special menu

Denny’s: Build your own Grand Slam breakfast from 5 a.m. to noon.

IHOP: Free pancakes with toppings from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Starbucks: A free tall coffee

Peet’s: A free coffee or tea.

Applebee’s: Pick a dish off the Thank You Meal Menu.

Hooters: Free meal.

Golden Corral: Free “Thank You” meal.

Red Robin: Free double burger and bottomless steak fries.

Panera Bread: Free meal off special menu.

In addition to these free offers, Great Clips is giving patrons a free haircut card to give to a veteran they know.
