Thursday is a good day to get out and enjoy mild temperatures and sunny skies.

However, the rainy weather that marked the first part of the week will make another appearance early Friday morning. While the rainfall tomorrow is likely to be light, the precipitation that does fall could push Sacramento’s seasonal total over 9 inches.

Rainfall for the season stands at 8.91 inches in Sacramento. Normal up to mid-December is usually 5.65 inches.

Most of the moisture associated with Friday morning’s weather system is forecast to drop southward into north Central California – so Sacramento won’t get a big splash from the system being more south.

Most valley locations should only see a few tenths of an inch of rain, according to the National Weather Service. In the Sierra Nevada, communities above 5,000-feet elevation could get several inches of new snow.
