Somebody could be $671,000 richer, minus taxes, thanks to a Powerball ticket purchased in Carmichael. But where is that person?

The California Lottery notes that on Sept. 23, somebody won $671,000 by matching the numbers 8, 29, 51, 58 and 41. Only the Powerball number 5 was missed.

The ticket was sold at the Arco AM/PM gas station at 4101 Manzanita Ave. The Carmichael winner has 180 days from the Sept. 23 drawing to claim the prize.

If the money goes unclaimed, it gets transferred to California public schools.
