Today in Sacramento: Here’s what you need to know for Friday

Suspects in 6-year-old’s death return to court

Juan Rivera, held on suspicion of murder in the death of 6-year-old Jadianna Larsen in May, and Rivera’s mother, Lisa Burton, who is accused of covering up the crime, return Friday to Sacramento Superior Court.

Mostly cloudy today

The rainstorm that knocked leaves from trees and put a third-of-an inch of precipitation in the Sacramento rainfall bucket has moved on. The next system arrives Sunday, but it will lack the punch of the Thursday storm.
