Folsom appoints longtime councilman as mayor
A veteran councilman was appointed mayor of Folsom by the City Council on Tuesday.
Steve Miklos will begin his one-year term immediately, following the unanimous vote by the five-member council.
“I am honored that my fellow Councilmembers have selected me for my tenth term as mayor,” Miklos said in city news release.
Miklos, a licensed real estate broker, has served on the council since 1994, including nine previous terms as mayor and five terms as vice mayor.
