Annual toy drive for hospitalized kids

Sacramento-area residents are invited to donate toys for pediatric cancer patients and other programs for hospitalized children during a UC Davis annual holiday toy drive. There are two locations for drop-off donations: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center’s North Building, 2279 45th St., Sacramento, and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at the UC Davis MIND Institute, 2825 50th St., Sacramento. At both locations, donors can pull into the driveway and give volunteers donations. The donated gifts will go to pediatric oncology patients and hospitalized children, as well as children in the pediatric emergency department, outpatient clinics and UC Davis MIND Institute. Because of infection control policies, all items must be new and unwrapped. Go to www.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/children/clinical_services/child_life_program/pdf/Holiday-Wish-List-2014.pdf for more information.
