Good morning. Here’s what you need to know today, Friday, Dec. 18:

Rain after work today

With a storm scheduled to reach Sacramento around 5 or 6 p.m. Friday, the evening commute could be slippery. Speaking of slippery, a hockey game at Raley Field may have to be put off until Saturday if there is too much rain, according to stadium officials.

DUI warning for holiday revelers

The Sacramento County “Avoid the 13” law enforcement agencies begin a holiday crackdown on drunken drivers. Law enforcement agencies across the country will be searching for and arresting drunken drivers from Friday through Jan. 3. As part of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” enforcement campaign period, police, sheriff’s departments and the California Highway Patrol will be deploying DUI checkpoints and DUI saturation patrols. On Friday, Elk Grove is planning a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday. Sacramento and Citrus Heights will have DUI saturation patrols from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday.
