Vice mayor, mayor pro tem on Sacramento city agenda

The Sacramento City Council is scheduled to select a vice mayor and mayor pro tem at its meeting Tuesday night.

The vice mayor is tasked with running City Council meetings when Mayor Kevin Johnson is absent. The mayor pro tem would run meetings when the mayor and vice mayor are not in attendance. Both positions come with one-year terms.

The City Council meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, 915 I St.
