Sacramento may stay dreary for the rest of the day, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecaster Tom Dang said the early morning fog will likely stick around, owing to the tremendous amount of moisture stuck in the Sacramento Valley.

“When it doesn’t rain … you do get fog,” he said.

Temperatures will top out in the mid-50s, the weather service predicts. Dang said heavy fog will return Saturday night, reducing visibility on roadways.
