Mayor interviews Jesse Jackson
Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson will conduct a one-on-one interview with the Rev. Jesse Jackson on the importance of economic empowerment in underserved communities. The conversation part of the mayor’s monthly speaker series, “Indivizible.” The event is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Guild Theater, 2828 35th St., Sacramento. Mayoral candidates to meet with residents
The Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Association hosts a meeting with Sacramento mayoral candidates Tony Lopez and Russell Rawlings at 7 p.m. in the Garden Room of the Sierra 2 Center, 2791 24th St. Candidates Angelique Ashby and Darrell Steinberg are scheduled to meet with residents May 26. Each candidate will be given five minutes to explain why they are running for mayor. A series of questions asked by a moderator will follow. Neighbors then can ask each candidate questions.
Rancho Cordova council to meet
