Homelessness report

The Sacramento City Council will host a special meeting on homelessness at 2 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers, 915 I St., first floor. The joint meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of Sacramento, Financing Authority of the City of Sacramento, Sacramento Public Financing Authority and the Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency will feature a report on homeless policy and program options from the Homeless Subcommittee.

San Juan school board meets

The San Juan Unified school board will review a report on school site needs at its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Fairbank, Maslin, Metz and Associates conducted 600 telephone interviews with voters in the school district. Its report says there is 70 percent support for a local education bond measure. The school board will meet at district headquarters at 3738 Walnut Ave. in Carmichael.

Job fair set at Masonic Temple

Job seekers may find what they are looking for at the HIREvent at the Masonic Temple building, 1123 J St., from noon to 4 p.m. Employers from the public and private sectors will be looking for job candidates.
