‘Suspicious’ Sacramento Target object determined to be meth pipe
The Target store near 65th Street and Highway 50 was closed for a couple of hours Tuesday while bomb squad members investigated a suspicious object that turned out to be a pipe for smoking methamphetamine.
Police were called at 7:43 a.m. Tuesday by employees after a worker found a cobbled-together item in a public area of the building. Officers determined that the device was suspicious enough to call in the bomb squad and close the business.
The wrapped drug-smoking pipe was behind a toilet and had a magnet to attach to metal and keep the pipe hidden.
